The February 2009 challenge is hosted by Wendy of WMPE's blog and Dharm of Dad ~ Baker & Chef.
We have chosen a Chocolate Valentino cake by Chef Wan; a Vanilla Ice Cream recipe from Dharm and a Vanilla Ice Cream recipe from Wendy as the challenge.

As I mentioned in the previous post, waiting until the end of the month to complete all my baking projects wasn't a particularly smart thing to do. I finished this up around 10pm last night, which didn't give me much room for error.
I burned the chocolate a little, and three out of my five cakes deflated. They were, however, still pretty tasty.
I went with a cherry sorbet instead of vanilla ice cream, because dairy-free ice cream seemed a little too daunting for the time being. I know it really shouldn't be, but I had enough on my plate, so to speak.
Sorry for the minimalist post, but I'm a bit exhausted. Aside from the last-minute baking, I've also done a ridiculous amount of wedding decision-making, purchasing and booking this week.
